Disapiontment!.. first off, Saddles advertise the bone in Ribeye on thier Website, we get there and was told it was removed from the menu awhile ago. the whole reason we went there in the first place. 2nd my wife ordered medium prime rib and I a medium ribeye, both were dry..better off eating at the subway down town. waiste of time and money...Beware!!!!!
don't know about the restaurant, but if people like the first reviewer go there, forget it. You idiot, wear your dior crap somewhere else. obviously you were there to get attention. idiot!
i will try it, i heard from other people it was good.
Searched as many reviews as possible, came out about 50/50, so in the end decided to find out for ourselves, should have saved myself the effort, perhaps I can save yours? This place is pitched as a luxurious establishment, when in fact it is borderline tacky, and oh so kit-ch! Food is a slightly upscale Outback, but with even worse decor and food for about 3 x the $$$. I contend all you can do with a good steak once, you have invested in the best product, is screw it up, and that was proven last night.
Other guests turned up in shorts, jeans and the most awful T shirts while me and my wife wore out Armani suits and Dior dress, hoping that luxury attracted those types...wrong! Even the servers were dressed in jeans, and could not make a decent cocktail to save their combined lives! Despite giving specific requests on how the cocktail should be prepared, I got back a sorry excuse of Cosmopolitan.
They had a large crowd in that night with flash cameras going off all night, speeches, and guess what our food took an age as the kitchen struggled to cope with the demand.
Trust me there are better places to dine in town, and if you really want a good steak, go to the supermarket and stick one on the grill, at least you wont have to stair at painted horses Murial your Aunt must have done to decorate this restaurant.
Our server however was a decent type, and tried to hide the establishments failure to back her up!
Major bummer. The place is interesting to say the least. The service is good except for our waiter who was just a bit odd. Great local wine list if your not too burnt out from tasting all day long. On this visit I had the ribs, which were boiled not BBQ'D then slathered in sauce. AWFULL. My wife ordered a steak which was average. Everything else is an add on. My suggestion is go over to Yountville or St. Helena for a good steak.
