Bear Republic Brewing Company, Healdsburg

First I want to say that the staff was very nice, food was ok, beer was good.. HOWEVER, Bear Republic is NOT a dog frendly restaurant!! Putting your dog on the otherside of the bench- railing where they can barely see you or you can touch them is not what I consider a dog friendly place. Especially depending on what time of day your dog could be in the sun baking!!! Or you have the choce of sitting on the other side of the resturant which is an after thought at best where there are no umbrellas you can sit there with your dog but you have to go the bar and order your own food and drinks, bring your drinks outside yourself and the waitress will only deliver your food to you. NOT very dog friendly or people friendly at this point! Bear Republic ought to take their name off the website for dog friendly restaurants in Healdsburg. We got better service from the the tasting rooms with our dog!!!!

Their menus do not reflect accurate pricing. We ended up paying $16 for a regular, generic chicken hamburger. When we asked the employee about the price, he became irritated and ended up throwing our tab at us. We left our number asking for the manager to call us in order to file a complaint and we never recieved a phone call. Bottom line...it was bad service and they need to update their menus with CURRENT prices.

It is a brew pub and the beer is good. As for the food, well I ordered the Prime Rib Special and instead of medium as ordered it came out well done. They sear their prime rib after slicing it off which gives it a different flavor. I sent the steak back and the next one came out perfect. The green beans that accompanied the meal were warm at best way under cooked. All and all a decent place to eat. Prices are right for what you get. Nothing spectacular.
