I'm a fan of indian food and was kinda bummed on my food selection when moving back to Santa Rosa. I found out about this place from a friend and was skeptical at first, being spoiled from all the amazing Indian food I had in San Francisco.
I arrive and immediately greeted and seated in a place that seemed to be pretty busy (always a good sign on a thursday). They had a gentleman playing a traditional sitar which gave an added lift to the places ambiance. We were immediately served water and were asked if we'd like to start with any drinks.
We ordered Vegetable Samosa for appetizer and my boyfriend ordered a lamb dish and I ordered one of their egg dishes. We were asked about the spice level and were given recommendations on each dish.
All dishes came out promptly and in order, this is something I've noticed in most Santa Rosa restaurants to be an exception not a rule.
Everything was delicious, I highly suggest their samosa and their curries. I was a little disappointing in the rice and they charge a bit much for plain rice with peas. I rice with saffron and if you serve plain rice, please charge no more than 1.50 per serving.
Water was always filled and we both felt that we were welcome, well served and that our opinions counted.
I five this 4/5 because while the food was good and the staff was wonderful, some decor and price adjustment for what you get could use a little finessing.
