Owned & operated by semi-famous Santa Rosa restaurateur Gary Chu. This place serves fancied-up American / Japanese inventions to stun the hip Santa Rosa crowd. Signature item is Martini shrimp. So named as it's served in a large Martini glass. It's batter coated fried shrimp with a mayonnaise-y sauce augmented with sesame seeds & some fresh spices. Interesting & fun to eat. Especially after a few drinks. Sushi dinners are okay. Other menu items are a love-child of American, Chinese & Japanese parents. Naughty sex food. Plating is pretty. Nice quality porcelain, glassware, silverware. All tableware contributes to an adult, sleek, sexy look. The food cleanliness factor is high - Very low oil content. Ingredients are good quality. Still, I'm not crazy-in-love with the food nor the concept here. It's just a bit too suburban trendy to please me. But as I live in this town now, this will be a place to bring guests who want this kind'a thing ~ A family owned PF Chang with hormones.

Great food, great presentation. Gary makes lots of interesting sauces to add to his dishes. You have to try the martini prawns, they are a defining dish.

Excellent food, excellent service. Really can't get much better than this. A little pricy but you definately get what you pay for. This is my favorite restaurant by far! Ask for real wasabi as they have it here and it is excellent!

The atmosphere is exquisite, the service is flawless, and the food is the best Japanese in Sonoma County. I love this restaurant!
