Do not what ever you do go to this hotel. No one helps you when you need it. It is so dirty its like they clean once a month.

a wonderful Thanksgiving
By Barbara, 11/28/07
Our rooms were newly refurbished -wonderful mattresses and linens including down quilts. The service was excellent and we would not hesitate to make this a regular Thanksgiving stop. The location made it possible to walk for sundries and for breakfast. Food at the hotel was reasonable and the service was good there too. Towels were plentiful. Parking was outside the rooms and the front desk was helpful when directions were asked for. The WiFi was pricey and that was the only negative we found. A microwave might have been a good addition.

Site photos and name of place are decieving
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/9/07
The word Spa and Resort is very deciving. This hotel is nothing close to being a resort and the spa is very unspa like. The photos on the websites are very decieving. It looks nothing like the photos. We went in a group of 50 people all arriving at different time. The first thing each couple stated was that this must be the wrong place, it looks nothing like the photos we saw. A few couples even drove some more thinking they were at the wrong place. Upper staff were helpful but the lower staffs were very rude, however, housekeeping made up for the rudeness. They were very willing to change the bedsheets when we asked as it was dirty. We would not stay at this place again for the staffs are below par and the rooms are not clean and smells.

Best staff
By Raida, 3/24/07
Comfortable and fun place. Friendly staff at the front desk, house keeping and good service at the restaurant. I forgot my best clothes in a drawer in the room. They were shipped to me in less than a week. Thanks to Angela at the front desk who went beyond her duty to check with house keeping and call me back. Thanks to Susie, Rosalie in housekeeping and Andy at the front desk for their help. Not to forget Dana.

Relaxatio pure, great spa, best massage ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/10/07
This place is unique. Newer properties would not build like this, leaving such a great garden with pool as the main attraction of this resort. Had one of the best steaks ever in their restaurant. Rooms are spacious and offer feather comforters. The spa is out of the world. Eventhough the hotel ranks between a 3 and 4 Star property, the spa certainly ranks as a 5 star. Their Health Club offers truly the latest equipment from weights to cardio machines. This place has it all.

Dont Stay Here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/11/07
I've stayed at the Flamingo several times over the past years when I'vw visited Sonoma County on business and have watched it go down in quality and service. Much of the lower staff seem very unhappy and the management is disgustingly rude and unprofessional. This negativity can definitally be felt when dining and staying overnight at the Flamingo Hotel. Upon one of my numerous visits to the restaurant I watched the restaurant manager repremand one of the servers for something that wasnt even her fault. I wanted to say something but decided not to. The next day I ran into the food and beverage manager at first he was really nice but once I mentioned what I whitnessed the previous day he seemed not to care in the least bit about how his wonderful staff were being treated. On a more positive note I can say that the food was excellant and I did recieve remarkable service from the staff alltogether. The food was a little pricy and took awhile but well worth the wait.

Can't judge a book by it's cover
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/27/06
For one of my son's games we had to travel to Santa Rosa. I wanted to leave when I first saw the Hotel's exterior. Very Reno ish. The inside does look a lot better. Rooms were updated and clean. Pool wasn't heated though. Montecito spa was ok but compared to other spa's I've been to this spa was a 5. They had 1 shower. 1 bathroom and the lockers were right in front of the cashier. No privacy at all. Overall, the hotel was clean and comfortable which is very important when travelling.

Great Value in Santa Rosa
By Brian Morel, 1/31/06
I stayed here the last time I did the Vineman triathlon a couple years ago. This place is a little gem - nothing fancy, but it has some nice features, like a olympic-sized pool with lanes! That's not too common! They had a spa, which was nice for my post-race massage. They also had a very good Sunday brunch. If you're looking for a reasonably-priced hotel with some great amenities, give this place a go!
