my boyfriend and i went there for vday and all we ordered were 5 sushi rolls. 1 1/2 hours later we got 1 of the rolls and we kept asking our waitress whats going on and we have even seen other people that got there later get there meals and sushi. This was the worst experience we have had. My boyfriend actually filled up mine and his sisters water cups because it ws empty for about 30 minutes. We asked to talk to a manger and they told us that we had to wait and we waited for about 20 minutes and told them we aren't paying for anything and it was really ridiculous. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they dont even deserve 1 star...

I had the worst experience there with a waitress. I couldnt find a highchair for my son that actually wasn't broken. The waitress took about 20 minutes to actually come ask us what we wanted to drink, and started walking off before hearing what my friend wanted to drink as well. We had to get up 3 times to ask for napkins, sauce, and silverware. We order sushi which should have been ready in like 10 minutes and waited forever. She wasnt polite, never asked if everything was okay and completely ignored us. come to find out she is co-owner and when we asked to speak to a manager she wouldnt even come talk to us. Im so surprised at this because I've been there a couple times before and I have never had that problem. I dont ever want to go back. I was so upset and surprised that someone could be that rude. esp a co-owner of the place.

My wife and I went out to Musashi's for the first time for Valentines Day. We had a great time! We sat with some other couples who were obviously out for Valentines Day. Our chef put on a good show and the food was great! Definately thumbs up!

I've been a regular at Musashi's for over 10 years since Benihanas. I don't think they deserve a 5 star but I do think they deserve a four star but since the average is coming out to be a 3star which I think is under rated so to raise it I give them a 5 to bring it up to a 4 which is fair. They have a 2 for 24 special which my family and I use during the week that is pretty good. If you want live entertainment while you're eating, it's fun to eat at the Teppanyaki side where you sit around and eat while you watch the chef cook your meal. You can see everything they put on there so you know if it's fresh or not and the food comes off the grill hot! If you like Sushi, they have a Sushi bar where the Sushi chef will make any roll you want. Plus they have a big screen so you can watch some games while you eat. The Sushi chef is real friendly and he'll take the time to make what you want not just what's on the menu and sometimes he gives out samples to try. The bartender over there is pretty cool. She usually makes my apple martini and whenever I have a bad day after work, if I ask her she'll make my drinks stronger if I want. She's pretty cool to talk to. I've always been treated like family and I feel comfortable when I come in. I'm pretty much on first name basis with most of the staff there. I used to go to the other Teppanyaki places out in the bay area but I stop going especially because 1)gas is more expensive 2) I can't drink as much 3) the people at Musashis treats me like family.

Great Experience

They offer a nice sushi and fresh prepared meal experience. This is a pricey setting, but worth it. Good food and nice staff.

We used to frequent Musashi because there aren't many other options for sushi in Tracy. However, their service has been so bad, and their management so unaccommodating (they won't allow special off-menu sushi orders, even if the request is as simple as an appetizer portion of sashimi) that we now make the drive across town to Bluefin Sushi. The servers at Musashi are slow and inattentive at best, surly and ignorant at worst. I have never in my life been offered sashimi without daikon (radish), but the server looked at me like I was from outer space when I asked for some. They seemed to not get that offering sashimi without some sort of shredded vegetable is akin to serving french fries without having any ketchup available. There are a lot of indications that the management at Musashi are cutting corners. The aquariums are in an atrocious state, the bathroom vanity light bar has every other lightbulb unscrewed, the drinks taste watered down, and the portions of premium items are skimpy. All in all, I would recommend avoiding Musashi. If you want teppan, then take a trip out of town to the nearest Bennihana. If it's sushi you're after, drive out to Bluefin Sushi across town. You'll be much happier than if you'd suffered through Musashi.
