My conclusions from this accidentally acclaimed restaurant: First impression was this place is poorly decorated. Second, I thought why are we the only people here on a friday evening? Food was very blah something I could have done myself. I went with my two sisters. Eldest and I had the build your own burger. Both of our chicken breasts were small and cheap. Youngest sis had the 1/2 reg. burger she said it was eh. The parmesan garlic fries were good but again something I could have done myself. Nothing about this place screamed come back. Especially not the horrendously tacky decor, the plain food or the creepy looking owner. However, if you do decide to ignore this review and try it out yourself make sure that you bring cash! I brought my debit card and was asked to swipe from an app on the owner's iphone and that a receipt could be sent to my phone. Much to my disbelief the owner assured me that my phone number would not be saved. However, I was less concerned about my phone number being saved and more concerned with my debit card number being mistreated. Not much to my surprise andre's had issued a tip (that I was not aware of until) after I had signed for the authorized amount and left. I guess the cash tip my sis left on the table did not suffice. Just beware of this place. I know I will never come back. I was just trying to be a good local samaritan and help out a local mom and pop place boy was I wrong to assume one existed in Lodi.
I'm Not a Burger Fan. I'd rather have almost anything else!
However, My Daughter and I stopped in here on advice from friends. We are not sorry! The amount of food is amazing to start! We read the reviews as we were eating some very negative..we couldn't figyure out why. We were prepared to not like the food.
It was quiet when we came in. The service was therefore quite quick.
The Owner waited our table and he was very polite and helpful.
The food came rather quickly being it is a small place.
I ordered A jalapeno Burger and Ranch Cheddar Fries.
I thot they were quite good. The Burger had a nice amount of spice and was juicy not dry like a chain. The fries were different...with the ranch not a sauce but the spice. At 1/4 lb the burger was still more than I could eat; so my hubby got to try the leftover half since I cut it immediately upon getting it due to size!
Everything was well cooked nothing raw or burnt. Our Drinks were refilled in a timely manner. We were not hounded yet not forgotten.
We will be returning with a larger group very soon!
Oh ya, awesome burgers, BUT....wonderful and affordable breakfast is equally as attractive ! Great chicken fried steak, potatoes, omelets and specialties make this the hot spot for weekend or weekday breakfasts for our family !
Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner they are one of the Best. Friendly people and very large portions and a great place to run into people you havent seen in ages! The food is great and fresh tasting dont miss this place!
I realize that I'm making a bold statement, but Andre's is the best kept secret in San Joaquin County. Everyone I've referred there has become addicted. There are something like 20 variety of fries to choose from and the best burgers I've ever had. You need to try it to believe it. The only gripe I have is the location. They need to move to a larger facility and closer to foot traffic. Maybe downtown Lodi??
I just love this place, my wife and I will travel from Stockton to get one of their burgers. In fact my brother-in-law travels from Folsom to go there.
The food is great, they have a wide selection of burgers along with a wide veriety of foods to choose from. You also get your choice of flavoring for your french fries. My favorite is the Parmesan Garlic Fries, but they are all great.
