Matsuyama Japanese Restaurant, Lodi

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! My little brother introduced me to sushi like 9-10 years ago and it was from Matsuyama! I've been addicted ever since! The staff are very friendly and now greet me by first name! I love the Volcano Roll, Special California Roll, Philadelphia Roll, Hawaii Roll, Spicy Scallop Roll, Spider Roll, Matsuyama Roll, Lakewood Roll...the list goes on!! I've always thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at this restaurant whether I ate in or ordered take-out!

Great food!!! Still open, owners went on vacation for a minute but reopened first day back. Only chopstick eating.

I absolutely love this place. My step-grandma was Japanese, so I grew up eating sushi at home. Their fish is very high grade, and their food is very well put together. Very yummy, and the staff is friendly. VERY BUSY though, so try to get in before the rush.

this restaurant has excellent food! their sushi is very tasty. I like their matsuyama rolls and edamami. it gets really busy at lunch time so go when they open their doors for lunch

i didnt like theie food because sushi rice didn't have good flaver in it.and they give small amount piece susumi fish for your money.teriyaki taste like a sauce you buy in the grocery store

this place has fantastic sushi..my personal favorite or the volcano roll and the golden dragon roll....i would recommened them completely.. me and my father go atleast 1 time a week..and ive been addicted because it is so delicious

The food is awsome! My favorite sushi is volcanoe roll and hanabi roll. The people there are very friendly and very quick. My husband and I as well as my parents go there all the time. It took us years to find good sushi in Stockton, we used to go to Walnut Creek or Danville to get good sushi. Now all our sushi business goes to Matsuyama!

Japanese Food!!!!!!!!!!!..................i think NOT!!!! This is by far the worst place for sushi. The review before this was absolutley correct. Unless your a regular, you will receive very poor service and the food well...just followed the poor service. Unfortunatley it seemed like the sushi was just a couple of days old.
