Arroyo's Mexican Cafe, Stockton

Do not order the the chile verde it is not even verde its red and it taste awful. Had the meat ball soup once it was ok the beans are not good. Best thing about this place is the location great view.

If you are are looking for something similar to authentic mexican food, this is one restaurants in Stockton that has just THAT SIMILAR, I actually love to sit in their booths near the water and enjoy drinking a MARGARITA, unfortunately, I had a bad experience with a taco that was brought to me more like a enchilada, I asked for it to be replaced, and wasn't even offered an apology, i requested the Manager spoke with Rick Arroyo and he said that it's policy not to replace or apologize, I am still in shock, how hard is it to replace a soggy chicken taco!!!!!!!!!

I use to eat at Arroyo's Cafe years ago.(believe it was on Center Street)It was my favorite Mexican Restaurant.. Now I eat at this one on March Lane..Don't know if the same people still own it,but the food is as great now as it was then.The service is A-One and it always has a friendly atmosphere. later on, Stocktonrocker

I've eaten here several times and the food is pretty good. The view of the lake is irreplaceable, and the service is good. I have never experienced a chicken taco such as the ones at Arroyo's; the chicken was deep fried which was different, yet good.

The food is authentic mexican!!! Take it from an avid cook, this food is the best in stockton, reasonable prices and great service. Highly recommned. Leanna

Are you kidding!!!! The best authentic Mexican food in town. The food taste as authentic as if your great grandma was in the kitchen. Although it is true there are days it can take a while to get your food. I always attribute it to the fact that it is fresh not frozen. So, take your time as long as the quality of the food doesn't suffer. I recommend this place to anyone in search of the real deal when it comes to mexican cuisine.

WOW this place is great have been going here since I was a child (different location) and I had to get used to alittle bit of a different taste in the food once they changed location (but I not afraid to go into this restroom LOL) the tortillas are so good and like the other review you just cant find deep fried quesadillas any where. Every thing is good here and the ambiance is so diverse, great for date night or to eat out with the family. But they can surprise you, at times very fast great service then at times waited over 1/2 hour for food and couldnt get a refill unless I served it myself. But overall I would say this is the BEST mexican restuarant in Stockton. (Food, Location, Atmosphere) *****

This is the only place on the east and west coast that has the famous deep fried quesadia, try it in beef with extra gravy!!!! They are well know for their wet burritos which are awesome and my favorite with everything. Service is always wonderful and view is great right off the water and prices are not bad.
