A great place for Brunch includes Champagne, chicken salad, hot + sour soup, main course + bowl of rice for $8.95-$10.95 (best deal in town), beautifully decorated w/huge bouquet of fresh flowers, a great experience + very friendly staff--also go there for Daily Lunch Specials all of the above for $7.95-$9.95 (minus the champagne) + they also have Family Dinners for additional $5 per dish. Must try + in cute village of Willow Glen.
I went in right after the New Year 2009. Nice ambience and polite waitress; but service was slow. The Peking Pork was fried until they were toughened. The lemon chicken was tasteless, Taiwan Special noodle soup was lukewarm, and eggplant was drowning in oil. The only kind of acceptable dish was walnut shrimp. Very poor quality food overall but good atmosphere.
If you like Spicy Food!!!!***Firecraker chicken is the BOMB*** !!!Very Tasty!!!The portions are just right. Not too much and not too little. My boyfriend and I love the food I have nothing bad to say!!! KUDOS for Taiwan Resteraunt =D
**PRICES HAVE GONE UP AND FOOD QUALITY HAS GOTTEN LOWER**
This place used to serve good food, My family used to eat there all the time but we stopped going, ever since the food was starting to be served cold and the food was just not the same. Lately the quality of the food has just dropped and the prices have gone up and the portions have gotten smaller!!
Not to mention the small place, it just feels so crowded.
If you want chinese food DONT GO TO TAIWAN, who cares if it has four stars, THE FOOD JUST IS NOT THE SAME ANYMORE!!
Used to love the place. The last three times I got takeout have not been satisfying. Only one of the three was even ok, not good. Two times the food was bad, didn't even bother warming up the leftovers...............what happened lately, prices have been raised and food quality is down!!!!!
This is a nice chinese resturant, not your hole in the wall type place. Its romantic, friendly, family fun! Everything tastes great! Parking is hard to find, try behind the resturant. The servers are so sweet and always helpfull! They are so cute!
Excellent food with attention to detail in their presentation (eggrolls come in a small shopping cart). The restaurant is lathered in flowers which might make it feel cramped to some. Recommendations: sizzling rice (chicken) soup, sesame chicken & chow fun.
Mmmm...starting to drewl.
For most people, Taiwan is considered a great Chinese restaurant. I would agree if you are really into Americanized Chinese food. The food is decent quality (thought not great) and they have a good variety.
However, if you are looking for more authentic style flavors you will likely be disappointed. The service and ambiance make up for higher than normal prices. The place does get really busy and that is likely because it is one of the only 'nicer' chinese restaurants in the area. The staff treat you very well and service is prompt.
One thing to note is that the place gets loud and kids are often overrunning the place.
