This is a great choice for Persian food in San Jose. If I didn't live so far away, I'd definitely come back more often.
I had the sheereeon polo, which is a chicken dish that comes with this great rice that has almonds and orange peels in it. It's pretty sweet, but it doesn't detract from the tender, seasoned chicken, which I thought went very well with the rice.
For dessert, I had the makhloot, which is actually a combo dessert that includes some pistachio ice cream and this strange other dessert made of thin vermicelli-like noodles. I was full from the entree, but this was worth ordering.
The prices are a little high ($13 for the chicken dish I mentioned), but it's definitely reasonable, given the intricacy and quality of the food. The service was great, too. A definite thumbs up, especially for anyone willing to try something new and different.
Service is good but that's about it. The food is expensive and the kabobs are not made the way they should be. Barg kabob is not fillet as they claim and koobideh has so much additives and fat in it that it gives you a stomach ache.
