I went there tonight and after I got seated, I waited for about 4 minutes and no one had come to me yet. Then, two ladies came and voila!, they were immediately served with water. I was hoping that the server would come to me too but it seemed that whoever the guys waiting around were oblivious to their surroundings and guests. I stood up, expressed my annoyance to the receptionist, and walked to Pasta Pomodoro instead.

I went to the Village for dinner one evening and left completely satisfied with my meal. I ordered a pasta dish which was the perfect portion for me, and finished the meal with a rasberry sorbet. It's very refreshing. My waiter was extremely helpful, and did not rush my party at all. It gets rather loud, but the food is very tasty and the environment is brilliant. I would definitely go back.

Went there last Wednesday as a guest. We all ordered the salmon brochette with spinach salad. Even though we were the only people there, it took 45 minutes to be served. No salmon brochette (just a small piece of salmon) the spinach almost non existant, no smushroom, no onions, we needed a magnifying glass to see the bacon and egg. We had ordered oil and vinegar on the side but instead we each had a small amount of prepared dressing. When we asked for oil and vinegar, the waiter brought a bottle of each and stayed with us until we were done using it because he had to return it to the station ( I guess he was afraid we may walk away with it!). They were out of regular ice tea, you had to make your own and be charged $3.00 for each bag (it took two bags to make a glass of ice tea). I had been there before but I will never go back again. Too expensive, bad service and the food is not at all as it is on the menu. Don't waste your hard earned money there because, obviously, they don't need repeat customers!

OK, I got to admit this place has had bad service and spotty food in the PAST. But have you been there lately?? They have a new chef (Thomas), who is the bomb and has totally revamped the menu. Not sure if management has changed, but the service is greatly improved. If you have been there before and were disappointed, then you need to give it another shot. If you've never been there before, don't miss out!

Poor service, so so food

I will never return to this restaurant. The service was horrible. We had to approach the hostess in order to have a waiter come to our table because we sat and waited for at least 15 minutes to be greeted. We had to use our bread plates for our appetizers and our water glasses were never refilled. Our waiter seemed to just disappear. On top of all this, the food was not worth it. Avoid this restaurant.

Never been there and NEVER WILL! Read this!

SO I work for a big .com company and we wanted to host a dinner party there... We had 17 people total in our party and I was told with a party that large their event mgr Tessa would have to call me back. Now mind you I made this call on a Mondayand my party was to happen the next week on a Wednesday. I call today(which is Wednesday and my party is scheduled in exactly ONE WEEK) I have people coming in from out of town and a meeting request that still has no dinner location...So anyways someone answers I ask for Tessa they say she's out on vacation, I ask for someone else who can help me, I'm told John can help... they put me on hold... THEN the girl who took my original reservation gets on the phone (Jessica is her name) and sounds super snooty and is like Tessa is out and she will call you within the next week! YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME! My party is one week from today! SHe's like well I'm sorry but there's nothing I can do... I was so livid at that point I told her forget it, take us off your list... I can't believe these little punks have the audacity to be rude to someone who was going to bring them a ton of business. I am always one to keep an eye out for great restaurants so I can reccommend to my fellow admins and even add them to our lists.. but Heck No! This place JUST FROM Customer servuce does not have my vote! Just becasue you ar ein Santana Row doesn't make you elite... sorry!

average food, overpriced...
By ,
Always good to try a new restaurant on Santana Row, especially when a table is waiting for you outside on a very sunny day. It did not take long for us to be seated (as opposed to the other reviewers who complained about the wait), and this is probably because we just sat at the table without asking anyone. Bad bad bad, I know. Oh well;) The menu was not super diverse and the great salads on the menu were not available for dinner, so we had the spicy seabass with asparagus and coconut rice. It was good, but definitely not great. And it was overpriced. Not sure I would go again, or maybe, just to enjoy the sun and at lunch time, to get a salad.

First and last time
By ,
Had Father's day brunch here, and will be our last. Seems to be a consistent theme when reading the other reviews, in that the service IS SLOW once you're seated. Our server only came back ONCE during our entire meal to check up on us. I had the Hanger Steak and eggs, which I ordered medium rare and eggs over easy. My steak ended up cooked Medium and eggs over medium. My sister had the french toast with bacon, which was pretty good. Nice place to eat, but service could have been better. I'd tell my friends to try this place at their own risk, but I don't ever plan on going back.
