I've been dining at this Carrows for years now and thought that since I was just there for dinner tonight, I should write a review for it. The service was a bit above average; my strawberry lemonade was never empty for more than about 2 minutes. None of the waiters or waitresses there have any character though. Some places you dine in have waiters/waitresses who love talking to you, and they make the extra little effort to smile. This hasn't really been one of them lately. My California Omlette was tasty as usual, but I noticed that it was a little smaller than the last one I had two weeks ago. Didn't bother me much since it still filled me up just the same. The Hawaiian shirt uniform is a little weird for Carrows seeing as how nothing else in the establishment is Hawaiian themed other than its employees.
Overall, it's a good place to meet with old friends and have a simple, inexpensive meal.
WE ORDER THE BARBEQ RIBS THEY WERE SERVED COLD AMONG WITH CORN THAT WAS SERVED COLD.
HOWEVER THE WAITRESS WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND SHE BROUGHT THIS MATTER TO THE ATTENTION OF THE MANAGER WHICH ALSO WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND UNDRESTANDING AND SHE ENSURE US THAT SHE WOULD HAVE TALK WITH HER COOK AND IT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.
HOWEVER WE HAD AN ICE CREAM AND IT WAS PREPARE GOOD AND TASTED VERY GOOD!!!
WAY TO GO ON THE ICE CREAM :)
Whenever I have passed Carrows, it has always been very crowded, so I assumed it would be good. However, I was wrong. When I went there, there was only one server, and few people. The food was barely average, and for a teenager, $8 for a badly made burger and few french fries is not a very good deal. Also, the restaurant had an unidentifiable odor. However, their ice cream sundae was very good. Compared to Red Robin, I would pick Red Robin, even if Red Robin's prices are slightly higher.
