Holders is one of the best coffee shops I've ever eaten at.
I've eaten there dozens of times in the last 10 years.
Their food is tasty, inexpensive and abundant.
They have both healthful selections and comfort food.
Some of their menu choices are unique to them.
Their service is very good.
The staff is most accomodating to our group or to single diners.
I usually go to the one on DeAnza Blvd in Cupertino.
I have been a regular at Holders for 4+ years and rarely miss a weekend. Most of my experience with Holders is during breakfast hours, there are ample choices on the menu ranging from omelets to waffles and everything in between. This place draws quite a crowd and sometimes there is a 15-20 minute wait to be seated but this is very reasonable for the bay area. On occasion I have ordered something not on the menu and they have accomodated my requests. It's nice to see the restaurant owner greeting guests and sometimes waiting on tables. They really care about their guests.
The salads deserve an honorable mention, when I eat lunch or dinner at Holders I will order the Chef Salad. It is huge, tastes great, always fresh, and could easily feed 2 people.
Holders is the kind of place that you get attached to, and even if you try other places you will be back.
Last but not least, every waiter and waitress is my favorite. I don't recall any other restaurant where I can honestly say that. Everyone is friendly, even when dealing with not so polite after church guests hungry enough to eat their own hats.
