I have had the food from their twice... once at a birthday party and once their... NEVER again! The worst Tri-tip I have ever had! Ribs were ehhh... chicken ehhhh... not going back despite being a local favorite... never could figure out why unless we have alot of NON cooking people in MH... I can do it WAY better.... The service was good however... people nice.
This place is just the best! The ribs and tri-tip are so tender and juicy it feels like a sin to eat it. But above everything else, the RIBEYE steak is in a class of its own. If you know a good steak when you taste one- this one's for you. Oh and the homemade blue cheese dressing is worth the trip alone!!!
Go There Now!!!
Oh and our waitress was a babe!
I've only had food from here once, about 4 years ago, and everything tasted like lighter fluid. Maybe it was just a bd night, 'cuz they alwasy have a crowd, but I've never been back.
(My last visit is listed as 2004, but it was more like 2002.)
Worse Tri-tip, excellent pork. Found stone/mortar in beans. Horrible service! Never received our bread and waitress never came to check after serving. No refills provided. Prices too high, will go to Dave’s in Gilroy instead. Don’t recommend.
I would challenge you to find better BBQ in Northern California. I have eaten at a lot of BBQ Joints but none have come close to what you'll find here.
All the meats are cooked out back in thier pits. Lunch menu features sandwiches and light fare. Dinner menu is choked full of hearty plates. Ribs, brisket, hot links, it's all great! Dont forget the sides. I prefered the potato salad over the slaw and the beans rocked the house.
The only downside to this place is the crowds. If you go at a regular time, your gonna wait. Lunch is a little better time wise. Oh a word of warning, they often close early due to running out of food. I'm not the only one that thinks Trail Dust BBQ in Morgan Hill is the greatest!
I cant believe I actually found someone that doesnt like there food! It completely shocks me! Everytime I go to Trail Dust the service is great, they have the nicest people,as well as finger-licking good BBQ.
Those of you that have never really been into BBQ,try going on a Friday.Every Friday they have something called Fish Friday where they have a specialty cook come in and cook fish.As well as the BBQ,it is delicous.
