Sea Harvest Fish Mkt & Rstrnt, Moss Landing

The first time we found this place 2 years ago was accidental; when we were driving Hwy 1, we saw some kind of building in the thick marine layer and decided to check out the place. What a discovery! We love the basket full Mixed Seafood Fish & Chips! It is the best Fish & Chips! So light and not greasy at all. And Fresh! At this time, we stayed in Half Moon Bay and only drove there to find the place, since we live in Orange County. Roasted garlic & veggie appetizer was fantasitic, too! We will be back!

We are from OC and this restaurant was recommended to us by friends. I'm so glad we took them up on it. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars - it was the best seafood I've ever had. We had the shrimp appetizer, the scallop main dish, and the seafood paella. I couldn't believe the paella - totally loaded with dungeness crab, shrimp, scallops - and the saffron rice base was so delicious. We will go out of our way to go there again when we are in the bay area.

Browse the fish case on the way to the patio. The full dinner (always available) is a terrific value. With a salad dressed on the side, fresh veggie, and roasted potatoes. The view is superb, most visits sea otters abound! Good selection of seafood cooked to your request. Interior can be noisy, so bring a jacket and hat.

My wife and I stumbled upon this place after first heading to another well known Moss Landing establishment only to find it overcrowded and over-rated. So on a lark we stopped into the Sea Harvest and hoped for the best. What we got was a great seafood meal simply done, and at a price (~$15 per plate) that was heads and shoulders above the tourist traps of the area. I had the swordfish and chose to have it served over a bed of ceasar salad and the two of us really enjoyed the artichoke appetizer, which was steamed, roasted and then finshed off with a chili vinegar sauce. After that experience we've gone back several times, and whenever we are in the Monterey area we make it a point to stop in.
