El Amigo is still there, in business when others have closed down. It's food is consistent in taste, in quality and the atmosphere there is always upbeat and friendly. I also gave the restaurant 4 stars because the chips they serve are greasy, flaky and stale like the reviewer below me stated.
The meats are well seasoned, they have a tinge of lime / chili flavor for a zing, though hardly enough to overpower the entire meal. The rice is cooked perfectly, and I can taste that its cooked in chicken broth and has a hint of saffron in it - pretty fancy. They also serve large portions of everything. They over-stuff your burritos and tacos which makes it messy but you know that every bite means you'll get a nice chunk of flavorful meat in it.
