Shan Restaurant, Cupertino

This was the second time I went to this restaurant. First time with my family on July 17, 2010. We ordered goat karahi, nihari, goat biryani and naan. All were good except for biryani. It was stale and bad. I am sure that this was not fresh. Most likely a day old. They were still feeding people this food that could make people sick. We pointed this out to them and they did not even say sorry. Just did not charge us for biryani. I do not think I will go there again. I wonder where the health department is and how do they check these things out. I will tell the patrons to be careful about this restaurant.

I ordered chicken tikka masala. When we opened it at home the chicken pieces were burnt and the sause did not taste any good.

Shan Restaurant on Halford &El Camino &Shan on Steven Creek both has same food wel cooked and flavorful its makes my mouth watery when ever i cross from there.But i visit to one of the Shan once a week .There service is great on Shan on El Camino & Halford .Lady on the counter always give great smile & said aap to abhi bhi skiny lag rahey ho, Shan ka khana is very good for you and its make me laugh.I like her the way she dress up.

its food is very good service is good they give the complimentary tea that is good then the service is good the food is different from other restaurant abhi kya bolu?

Heard good things and went there. Found the food very oily and bland. There was no spice at all. Will never go back. For a hole in wall it is pricey.

we got the chicken biryani and naan for to go. The naan was good. Chicken biryani is also well made. I think the food is a little oily but ok. Good value for money and authentic taste.

The chicken and lamb seekh kababs are really juicy, dals and chicken korma are well prepared. They have whole wheat tandoori roti on their menu which I prefer over the naan.It is a semi self-service kind of a place, and wait times can be long almost everytime as the place is always crowded. So just enjoy their very flavorful tea while waiting. NO fish in their menu yet. The rest does not matter, the freshness and taste is well worth it in itself.

Fresh nans and the best chicken tikka masala. Their Tandoor chicken is very good too. Food is very yummy. Bang for the buck. Take-out ambience.

Great seekh kababs. Graps are awesome.
