Tam's is a great, local Chinese restaurant on the west side. It's in what used to be a diner; with classic booths next to big windows & a retro neon coffee cup sign outside. They recently spiffed it up a bit with new floors & paint.
The food is consistently good & they are always friendly to me. I order take out from Tam's at least once a week & I love their wanton soup.
leaves a lot to be desired. The women are so unfriendly, angry and make you feel they will spit in your food.
I went a couple of times and the same treatment, they were looking angry, you can tell them thanks, they don't respond.
the food is ok, but the combination make me feel weary of them.
I think they are sick in their spirits
I totally love Tams! I've been going there for a while now! It's one of the best chinese food places in town! Sometimes you do get a grouchy waitress, but you get that everywhere! The food is delicious and frankly, thats all that counts!
I've gone to pretty much all the Chinese restaurants in Santa Cruz, and this is by far, the most delicious place. If you don't know what to get, go for the family dinners, any of them are simply awesome. You just can't go wrong!
