The Cheesecake Factory
The Cheesecake Factory is surely the place to go when craving a rich and delectable slice of the mouth-watering dessert, but this restaurant offers much more. Serving appetizers, lunch, dinner, late night dining, Sunday Brunch, and a full bar, the Factory is a great choice for a casual dining experience. Everyone will find something to their liking with over 200 menu selections of pizza, pasta, seafood, steaks, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and more. Be sure to save room for one of the 50 delicious cheesecakes and desserts.
Normally I wouldn't get into a Cheesecake Factory, but in this case the environment is so darn fancy that it's hard not to be tickled pink.
Of course the food leaves much to be desired, but by the same token it is not horrific and the prices are reasonable considering the auspicious digs.
Food snobs may not like the Cheescake Factory -- it isn't some quaint hole in the wall and its menu is a bit overwhelming, but I like the Cheesecake. There's so much variety and the quality of the food is very high. You can't go wrong with the salads (they are absolutely huge -- you'll certainly take some home), burgers, or pasta. I personally like the Blackened shrimp with plantains and mango salad. If you have room (which you won't), the desserts are to die for. For appetizers, I'd try the avocado egg rolls (I wish I could make these at home!). In short, if you want to have a good meal and don't want the risk/reward of a new place, go to Cheesecake -- you won't be disappointed.
They called our name/buzzer, and we went to get sat - only to find out that they had sat a party of 4 in this area. 10 minutes later, they tried to sit us at a booth that only seats 5!!!! 20 minutes after that, they finally seated us. They did provide us with free appetizers, but my brother-in-law did ask if we were going to get something comped for our troubles. They took our drink order right away- and we told them we were ready to order. The waitress said she would come back and take it in a minute. No big deal - except she didn’t come back to take our order or to bring our drinks for at least 20 minutes - well after we had finished our appetizers. The food took forever to arrive, meanwhile we had a waitress swap out - while ours went on break, and we had to ask the manager to check on our food. The food arrived and some of my family felt like it was cold. By the end of the night - we had been there for over 3 hours, 2 hours at the table, and my husband had already had to leave early to put our daughter to bed! We ask for the check, provide a card - and she disappears for what seems like another 20 minutes! They still charged us the 20% gratuity for large parties. Total lack of class. Learn from our mistake – and try another Cheesecake factory.
I never ever had a problem with the service, food or environment whenever I visited, it was always taken care of with a warm and caring server that was attentive to our needs. The server we had even dealt with our complication of the splitting of credit cards and cash. Very professional.
I went to go and celebrate a friend's birthday. She made reservations at 5:30PM, walked around the mal, but the table was not ready by 7PM when she wanted to sit down. We sat down at 7:30PM. The waitress was really nice, always watched if we had enough bread and drinks refilled. However, at the end of the night, she was packing up all of the food for our table. I asked if I could pack up my own, since I knew she had a long night. But she insisted that she pack it up, so I said ok. Well, the next day when I opened up my to go box. It was a totally different thing from what I had her pack up. I was really mad because I spent about $20 on food and drinks and I did not even get to eat the rest of it. I complained to the headquarters of Cheesecake Factory and I yet to have heard from them. It has been about five days nows. I am not sure anymore if I want to go back after this dilemma.
