To my surprise I instantly found the restaurant was not owned by Japanese people. I speak fluent Japanese having lived in Japan for several years and no one in there could speak Japanese. It is run by Koreans and is decorated with a combination of Korean and Japanese decorations with a slight Chinese twist. Food was Ok...I've had much better sushi in other places around the bay area. I could instantly tell the IKA (squid) was not fresh. My friend and I couldn't even finish it and had it sent back. I have learned that if you want real sushi that is closer to authentic, go to sushi restaurants that are run by Japanese people. I found the sushi overly priced for the quality. However, service is excellent and the people friendly.
