Carnitas Michoacan, Gilroy

The carnitas are absolutely the best I have ever tried. I definitely recommend going there even if it's a bit of a drive to Gilroy

carnitas michoacan catered a wedding for some friends - john & leslie (breton) romano - on june 26, 10 and the carnitas were excellent! the chicken was pretty decent too but i could have eaten a whole big metal tray of the carnitas and corn tortillas. great job and thank you ... it was a big hit with everyone.

The food is awesome we have been coming here for about 15 years and we always have good service weather dining in or gettiing take out. The carnitas is the best we have ever had and we travel about 1/2 hour to 35 -40 minutes depending on traffic to get carnitas. The owner is very nice and attentive if he is not too busy to come and say hi . The employees are always friendly. Once you taste the carnitas you will always come back for more.

The BEST carnitas ever! My family went last night for dinner after hearing good stuff about it, we now agree w/ them. It was so good, I'm having them cater my husband's birthday party on Saturday. Juan our waiter was awesome as well! It's a must share w/ everyone we know.

Just walking down the street and decided to give it a try. Wonderful atmosphere,friendly service and excellent food. The pork was so tender it melted in my mouth. The green sauce was the best I have ever had, and the chips were tasty and not greasy. It is well worth a second visit.

My family loves Mexican food. Their carnitas are to die for. We've never eaten at the restaurant but have requested their catering services on numerous occassions more than 15. We requested Jaime's services (owner) before he opened his restaurant. Only had one foul up on an order and it was quickly rectified by the restaurant. We have always asked for business cards to pass out at our parties. There are always guests asking about the restaurant that provided the great food. We live in San Jose, but don't mind picking up or having the food delivered. It's worth the drive. You'll have no regrets. It's a must try.

Show up enough, the waitress will know you and your fav. foods. The Owner shakes hands and is concerned how your visit is. Food is excellent, my wife, and my 2 kids (3 and1 yo) love to eat there. No alcohol served, but the food is worth it. Fee samples of the Carnitas when you sit, to get your dinner off right.

When you walk in you can see it extends deep into the bldg making it hard for waiters to notice you. As a result, waiters don't follow up at the right time. Also I've been there about 5 times and of those 5 different waiters 3 of them had a hard time remembering what I ordered and stumbled w/ my food. It's a good place to take family if you don't care about the service.

excellent carnitas and chicken... chicken soup is really good, everything i've had is good. i always call in / take-out, the service is really slow to dine in.
