Cafe Marcella, Los Gatos

Wonderful charming place with fabulous food and wine. Hidden in side street in Los Gatos giving it a intimate feel.

Located behind Santa Cruz avenue, Cafe Marcella is owned by a French native from Alsace and is not to be missed. I heard of it when I moved to the Bay Area but decided to go with my parents when they came over from France to visit. We had a wonderful experience. The service was impeccable, fast and very courteous and the dishes were original and tasty from the appetizers to the chocolate cake dessert (keep space for it, it is simply awesome). My entree (steak with blue cheese) was excellent and I had never thought this combination could taste so good. Overall, it was perfect! the atmosphere is not the best feature of this restaurant (the decor is pretty basic), but that was okay. Also, reservations are highly recommended!

Food and wine selections are excellent! Probably some of the best food in the South Bay!

Everything on the menu is superbly prepared, and the daily items are often creative and full of interesting flavors.

The sauteed abalone is a personal favorite, and nobody does linguine e vongole better in the bay.
