This is an unassuming little pizzeria in the same strip mall as the Elephant Bar in Cupertino.
When you go in it looks like every other pizza joint you've ever been to. Red and white checked tablecloths, a little salad bar, etc.
The difference is in the quality of the pizza. They do a medium crust pizza with good quality ingredients, prepared well. The sauce has a nice flavor and they aren't chintzy with the toppings. It's a mom and pop (well, actually, just pop) operation and the service is great.
They also offer the only pizza by the slice lunch in the entire area. Well, the only one worth eating, anyway.
The only downside is that it's a little more expensive than, say, Pizza Hut. But the pizza is *way* better than Pizza Hut.
You should go here.
This place serves simply the best American style pizza ever. Quite possibly the best pizza in the world, I dare say. So good that I felt compelled to write a review here. And its my first time writing anywhere about any restaurant.
I've never tasted a pizza even close to how McHarts makes them. I recently moved from Philadelphia and tried this place out as it was near my place and had good Yahoo reviews. But boy was I surprised when I just took one look at the pizza. Without even tasting it, the looks and smell alone made me fall for it. It looked nothing like the pizza I was used to. It was a masterpiece.
And when I took one big bite (its so thick you have to take big bites) I knew in the instant that it was the real deal. I normally go for pepperoni pizza but I tried out the McHarts special (number 1 on their website) b/c the topping selection looked good. Most combo pizzas at other places are kind of dry, meaning it doesnt have enough pizza paste. But the McHarts special was so juicy with pizza sauce and the toppings were so fresh, of highest quality and well cooked that it was like no other combo pizza I'd tasted. Simply the taste of heaven. It was so delicious that I forgot about all my worries that had been troubling me. This sense of ecstasy hasn't subsided even though its been almost an hour since I ate. I know that as long as stay here in Cupertino, I will never eat pizza anywhere else. In fact, even if I were to move out, I would come back for a taste of this pizza whenever I can.
Kudos to McHarts for making a pizza that brings joy to life! Thanks!!
My students told me about this little jem. Best pizza and sauce in the area. If you like a thicker crust with genorous toppings, then this is the place for you. The staff is courteous and friendly too!
We are so glad we went here because it has been the best sushi/sashimi dinner we have had yet. The food is very high quality, and the fish is very fresh. Top notch in presentation, couple with excellent selection of sake. Service is prompt and friendly. The ambience is relaxed and casual.
After reading the rave reviews, I was excited to try McHarts...but I must say I was underwhelmed. It's good, but not special. Average sauce, average crust, average toppings. Don't go out of your way to eat there, but if you're in the area and want pizza it'll be fine.
