We have driven by this place many times, often catching it closed, once for a series of repairs due to a kitchen fire, and often early in the week when they are closed. This particular day we were looking to celebrate a birthday,so we stopped for dinner on Saturday. It is very unassuming on the inside, but our waitress was warm and friendly and gracefully ran the entire dining room alone! Our meals were delicious. Not being in a red meat mood, my spouse ordered the Chicken Picatta and I had the Fresh fish of the day, which was a highly seasoned red snapper. They were both accompanied by smashed potatoes and al dante broccoli and onions- both sides were very yummy. My husband enjoyed the Picatta so much that he tried to duplicate it for us the following evening. My snapper was done perfectly- nice crispy sear and just the right amount of seasoning. I had the minestrone to start, and it was chock full of veggies and had a marvelous flavor. My husband snarfed down his Clam chowder, never pausing to offer me a sample, so I know he enjoyed it! The wine list was rather sparse, but they have $10 corkage and next time we will bring our own wine, as we most definitely will return. The dark Anchor Steam on tap is great. Ask the waitress what she recommends, and enjoy your stop in this quaint little berg in the beautiful Marin/Sonoma hills.
