BEAUTIFUL VIEW! I would recommend the deck area. My fiance proposed to me here after dinner and it was wonderful! Great view, great food. Very relaxing atmosphere. We had lobster and it was delicious! The staff was very friendly. After they noticed he proposed they brought us 2 glasses of champagne on the house. And as we left they all congratulated us on the way out. The staff was also very attentive during the whole time we were there and never made us feel rushed to leave. My experience here was great!
We have enjoyed our trips to this restaurant. We enjoy it for the view and the patio - even on a cold bay day. However, in our last trip there last week we decided to drive over and have lunch. One of our meals was a Chicken Cesaer salad. This salad was a Ready Pac bag of salad from the store and spicy Louis Rich chicken strips from the store as well. All of this for a lovely $14.95 when we could have done it at the store for $5. With that buyer beware. This restaurant is overpriced for what you get. We have gone there about six times and I sorry to say this was the last. If you want a decent lunch go down the street and have a burger.
It must be that the only people who write reviews are the ones who had bad experiences. I had dinner last night at Horizons and the staff was friendly, the food was good, and the services was prompt. The was absolutely amazing and is a must see for anyone visiting the Bay Area. Seeing the San Francisco skyline while dining can't be beat.
I reccomend the Calamari apetizer.
My wife and I were checking out Sausalito for the first time and decided to check out this restaurant. It seemed to be fairly busy, which was a good sign, but we had no expectations. We were seated right next to the window with a great view of San Francisco (it was a clear day). From there - it went downhill. The food wasn't bad, it was just mediocre. By far the draw of this place is just the location and view. It's not a place I would want to eat at again - maybe go to relax with a drink and enjoy the view - but don't expect much from the kitchen here.
it fits totally with the sausalito brusque attitude, horizons was an awful experience for us. hostess was rude in receiving and seating us, service took us 15 min. until we convinced a waiter for a nearby table to please serve us. food was tasteless (we ordered two salads - the chicken caesar and asian chicken).
only thing good was the view of the bay from the (windy, cold) deck and the bloody marys.
