This tiny restaurant is a bit too minimalist in design to be called cozy, though the ambiance is welcoming and the service warm and friendly. The white-on-white decor makes a blank canvas of sorts for the delicious food that is Northern Italian by way of California. The menu, as is all but de rigeur in Marin, changes seasonally, but house-made pastas are always good and the specials, such as grilled sea bass and tortellini with Dungeness crab, are always available. The wine list is not large, but the selections show a flair for good wines as reasonable prices.
I recently had lunch at this restaurant and loved it. The food was delcious and the service good. Decor was pleasant. I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews. Perhaps these patrons are more accustomed to fast food restaurants. Our only problem was limited parking the day we went.
I found that this ristorante was awful! Small and uncozy is correct. However the waiters were unattentive, the owner was handsome but yelling at the waiters in front of us. The food...well I ordered Salmon and the waiter informed me that there was no more Salmon so I was forced to settle for another menu item. The bread was cold and hard. If anyone is wanting to enjoy an awesome Italian meal with a great atmosphere, I would suggest a bit of a further drive and go to The Stinking Rose in North Beach. If your Mercedes has a navigational system, and you see this Fabrizio I would suggest you pass it by. This was by far the WORST dining experience I've ever had. I've had better service at McDonald's!!!
The food quality and the service is gradualy getting worth and worth. My wife and I visited this restaurant many times and we always sit on the same table if it was available. Today we have encounterd an arrogant waiter, he told us this place is only for 3 or more people. Shortly after two people came in an set down on the same table. We asked the waiter about this, he said they had reservation. The only problem is that Fabrizio do not take reservations for lunch. We will not go back to this restaurant again.

Fabrizio's was recommended to us by some friends who frequently dine there. Now my girlfriend and I eat there a couple times a week. The food is excellent and it truely tastes like you're eating in Tuscany. I've tried something new each time I've been there and haven't been disappointed yet. It can get somewhat loud inside but the food is well worth it.
This reataurant serves the best Italian food outside of North Beach. Fabrizio oversees this reataurant daily. He knows his customers and is generous with repeaters. His mom, usually there in the evening, enjoys speaking Italian with the many customes from their native Italy.
I've been here a few times and have always been very pleased with the food and service. There lunch special was a good deal too if they are still having it. Scalops are cooked to perfection every time I had them.
