Sam's Anchor Cafe, Belvedere-Tiburon

Decent food and ambience but very expensive for what you get. This place is totally over rated.

The eggs benedict at Sams is delicious The view is beautiful and the waiters and waitresses work very hard in a very tight crowded area outside on the deck. The tables are squeezed in too tight, you feel as if you are sitting in someones lap. I have also had shrimp at Sams and they have an iodine taste... not good at all. The Manager at Sams needs to lighten up and be more polite to his customers, he is rude, cold and doesn't have much of a personality at all. Other wise Sams is a great place esp. on Sundays. It would be very nice if they would validate parking.

We sat inside to avoid the long wait, but the windows provided a nice view of the outside. All of our brunch meals were delicious, the crab was amazing! Definitely worth the drive from the city.

Sam's serves the best calamari I have had anywhere in the world. My wife and I, our friends from the East Bay, always go there on our annual visit. It is noisy, the seagulls are a constant menace, the service is spotty, it is a little expensive, but the food is always excellent. We will be there again in a few weeks and are already talking about the visit to Sam's.

I stumbled into Sam's on a Thursday night and discovered that they have a comedy show every Thursday night at 8 pm in the back dining room. The food was great, the service was excellent, and I laughed throughout the show. The beautiful host of the show, Debbie Campo, is very friendly and hilarious. The show lasted for two hours in which the wait staff was very attentive to requests from patrons and the comedians kept my attention for the entire time. I am going to tell all of my friends about the event!

The only reason for eating at Sam's is the view, which is spectacular. You have a great view of the Marina and San Francisco Bay. But--the food is greasy and expensive. The place is loud and crowded. And the help is unattentive. Why not go practically next door to the Swedish House Bakery. The food is better. You have the same view, just nested in a little bit so you don't get the wind. And, if you only want a pastry and coffee, you can do that. The menu is a bit limited, but the quality is fine.

was pleasantly surprised here. food was good. and the service was rad...very nice waitress who was very accommodating with our two little kids. good place to come in out of the chilly wind (it was winter). looked like a decent bar, though i expect this place gets crowded.

Being able to sit outside, with a beautiful view across the bay and the skyline of S.F. in sight is pretty amazing itself. But Sam's actually has good food to offer as well. The Crab Cake Benedict was pretty small for the price, but it was really, really good! It makes for a perfect weekend lunch/brunch spot, not only when you have visitors on town PS: Probably not the safest place to bring little kids (right on the water)!

I like everything about Sam's! I never visit San Francisco (and that has been dozens of times) that I don't go to Sam's. The most memorable time was a few years ago on a Sunday, a seagull dropped a load on my wife's shoulder. The young waiter promptly brought a bottle of soda water and a fresh linen napkin and a small jewlery box containing an enamel and gold seagull pin. That is class!
