Lotus Cuisine Family of Restaurants, San Rafael

Lotus Cuisine of India is by far my favorite restaurant. Mind you, it is not just my favorite Indian restaurant, but my favorite restaurant of all time! When you walk through the front door, you will hear lovely Indian music playing in the background, and will appreciate the art on the walls, the paintings, the ceiling that opens up, and the cleanliness of the entire restaurant. Lotus is practically my second home, and I go there as often as possible. The whole staff treats me and my husband like family. Their buffet lunches are amazing, and each day there are different items to choose from. I won't tell you my favorite days. Instead, I suggest you try EVERY day there to find your preference. For dinner, my favorite thing to order is the Chicken Thali. Yum! Have you ever tried rose petal ice cream? You can at Lotus. It's fantastic! Last Saturday my husband and I realized that if we went a little faster (on our 4 1/2 hour drive from visiting family in San Luis Obispo) we could make it to Lotus before they closed for lunch. Needless to say, we made it on time, and thankfully didn't get a speeding ticket. ;0)

It had great food for real! The restaurant had a good interior design. My family and I dined there once. But on our second time dining there, just out of no blue, we experienced a rude, poor, and an unfair service. What's even worse is that they never brang us a couple of food items that we ordered and were still charged for them for no apparent reason. I know a better Indian restaurant, which is in Solano County, and where the cuisine is just as delicious, wholesome, and savoring and has friendlier and caring employees. So, what a sad night that turned out to be at lotus in San Rafael!

The service is superb, the food is excellent, the restaurant is very clean and the place feels like you went to India for lunch! Great for families and the people are friendly.

being an indian i know what is the taste of indian food. food served in lotus is really the best taste i ever had. it just remind me the home cooked food in india.

Love the food and the ambiance. Good quality and clean. There is even a skylight that they open up on a warm day. Great place.

excellent service, special and charming service by franky fernandes and the waiters are very friendly .and i like the atmosphere and the food.i like the c.t.m and pesto naan.i suggest the boos to open an another outlet in san francisco ca,and thats it i want to say about lotus

We have eaten at many Indian restaurants in the Bay Area, but Lotus is still the best. The quality is consistent, service is quick and good, food is flavorful and meat cuts are always good.
