I love La Bamba! Their pupusas are so good that I have a hard time ordering other things... Today I broke from the usual and was delighted by my soup and platanos!!! They take cards now, so no need to stop at the atm on the way. Fresh, delicious, clean and convenient. I recommend calling in your order if you're in a hurry.

I have been to this place several times and I have to tell you that their cheese and chicharron pupusas are really good and tasty. I live in San Leandro and the trip is worth it.

It's all about the bean & cheese pupusas! Hella good! Call ahead and pick your order up. Horchata ain't bad either. Beef tacos are also where it's at! Check it out. Very good pupusas!

This place is right around the corner from my house, and I couldn't possibly ask for a better place to have within walking distance. I'm not sure where the two bad reviews of this place came from. The pupusa's are incredible. The tacos are fresh and full of flavor. The owner's and staff don't speak english well, but that's part of the fun ;) It also tells me that I'm getting authentic food. I'm originally from NY, and I'm used to having any number of restaurants to gush over within spitting distance. I get disappointed easily. This place won't disappoint you.

If you are used to Chevy's or Taco Bell, of course a place that serves authentic El Salvadorian cuisine would be bad. Yes they take a long time because they actually make the food to order for you. I call in my orders to avoid the delay. Yes it is cash only, big deal. They are mom and pop and the service is more lax than Chevy's, this is part of the charm. This is a low key restaurant where you will find El Salvadorian customers seeking the food of their homeland. The chicken enchiladas with the wine sauce is awesome. The papusas are made fresh, try finding this at Chevy's. The carne asada has flavor! The homemade tortillas, WOW!!! A meal by iteself. The prices, good! Get over your expectations and try this place, I know alot of people who love this place! Please try this place without your Tex Mex expectations and emmerse yourself in a different world for a minute. I feel like I'm in another country at this place, I love it.
