From the outside, the bright pink neon may seem blinding, and upon entering you will be transported back to the 80s. The light is bright and music slightly retro (Gary Numan, Duran Duran), but this restaurant offers quick and inexpensive Thai cuisine. The best part is the late hours, so you can easily sate your midnight satay cravings. Try said satay with a noodle dish such as Yen Ta Fo, Pad Thai or one of the many rice plates, and wash it down with a Far East beer. For dessert, there is sticky rice with mango.
this place is awsome!! ive been there like 100 times and they are very consistent. The food is always served fast and hot. The people are always friendly and are always there to give u a big cup of water while you order.
Fabulous food. Fair prices. Fantastic late hours. Great staff. Superfast service. Never a bad experience. Ambiance is comically cheesy, which keeps the traffic moving through speedily. This is essential since the great food keeps this small cafe packed most of the time. I think they could comfortably quadruple their space and thrive, but then the cheap eats charm might be lost. We regularly eat the Pad Thai, Thai Barbecue Chicken - which is extremely satisfying and delicious, Chicken Coconut Soup and readily try any of their specials. My wife's finicky and we always tweak the Pad Thai order for her - chicken instead of shrimp, bean sprouts on the side, extra chicken, extra noodles, and they always get it right. Great drinks. I hear their desserts are great, but I'm always so full from the main course I don't bother. Their menu is as good as any much pricier Thai restaurant I've been to, and there've been plenty:-() My wife and I eat here 10-15 times a month and always recommend it to friends and strangers.
I love this place and I eat here about 6-12 times a month. I love the ginger chicken, Kow Soi, curry dishes, and everything else I've had here. I just finished Kao Tom Gai and it was very good. The veggies and the chicken are more fresh than many Thai restaurants in the area. You never get anything that looks or tastes un-appealing here.
The ambience is a little too bright, and they don't sell alcohol -- once I asked if I could bring beer in and they said no. I get everything to go anyway, so I don't care about booze or decor.
It's open until 1:30 a.m. and it's often packed with students, locals and cops (so you know it must be good) until closing. It's not a great place for a romantic dinner, but for good cheap Thai food and fast friendly service, it's a good bet any time of day. Hope you like it!
This place has never disappointed me. The food is great and the price can't be beat. The service is always friendly and very fast. Not very much atmosphere though, but who cares with everything else being so good. Oh, and they serve food till like 1:00 am too. Definitely try this place out!
