Now that Doug's BBQ has closed down, I've shifted to KC BBQ. All I've tried so far are KC's chicken and beans. They are outstanding! The sauce is mild- just the way I like it. Also, easy to find parking nearby
Unfortunately the Bay Area leaves a lot to be desired in the way of Bar-B-Q. Times have changed and obviously recipe's have changed with them, KC's is still around and giving it a good try. They have great links, but the sauce is a cousin to the Kraft store brand, the flavor is sweet and weak, not the rich spicy flavor of the old home made sauces in the past. The ribs strike me as boiled and then Q'ed so they dont have quite the rich hickory flavor your expecting. The folks are nice, there's never a long wait, the decor is a collection of Black history & you can always get a table.
