I think the people who dont like this place must be racist. This is hands down the best bbq in the bay area. Yea service could be better but its a just a cash register and a counter! You dont know bbq until you go here.

This is by far the WORST BBQ I have ever had. It was so tough you could not chew it, the sauce was flavorless, the bread was stale and the potato salad the truly sad. EVEN WORSE was the service, the staff is rude and have NO Idea about any kind of guest service. I hope you shut your doors and do the bbq world a favor of not being in it

The food is excellent but the service is terrible here... I feel that you as the customer must thank them for letting you buy the food, I am not kidding.

service sucks,food sucks, environment sucks... people there need more trainning and people skills, i don't recommend people to go to this place. i rather eat @ THE PHILLY CHEESE STEAKS RIGHT AROUND THE STREET

Bullet Point Review. *Heard lots of great things but my experience was not great - average at best. *Ribs - lots of them but nothing great. *Chicken - Somewhat overcooked. *Links - Homemade. Tasted that way. Lacking flavor and consistency. Somewhat mealy. *Brisket - Tough. Burnt and overcooked on the edges. *Sauce - Ordered Mild. Tasted ok. Needed the sauce to impart flavor for the links and chicken. *Sides - Greens - Too much ham hocks and overcooked greens. Beans - Like eating canned mexican style beans not BBQ style at all. Yams - very good! Slaw - Watery and ok in flavor. Cornbread - Overcooked and tough. *Service - OK. Never offered a refill on any of our drinks. Would I go back? I rather eat BBQ at McCovey's in Walnut Creek. THe hype was just that, hype.

THIS BBQ IS OKAY THE POTATO SALAD IS NASTY FOR A BLACK BBQ PLACE THEY SHOULD KNOW HOW TO MAKE POTATO SALAD FEEL ME BUT THEY DONT AND THE FOOD IS VERY MESSY IT COMES ON A PLATE INSTEAD OF A CARRY OUT BOX THEY NEED TO UPGRADE THE TAKE HOME BOXES! BBQ WAS OKAY BUT IT TASTE BETTER IF YOU COOK IT YOURSELF NOT WORTH WHAT YOU PAY FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the food there, the service was great as well..definately an in and out joint though, not a place you'd sit and eat.
