Tandoor Kitchen, Berkeley

Tandor Kitchen is a terrific Indian/Pakistani fastfood joint in Berkeley. I have paid 2-3x as much for Indian food that was no where near as good as Tandor Kitchen. Personally, I think the food is better than Vik's Chaat house, which is highly rated in Zagat's (Tandor offers a much more expansive menu). The service is solid, and the owner, who takes your order, is a really nice guy. What Tandor lacks in decor it more than makes up for in taste, and you can bring your own beer. It's also great for takeout. I highly recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala - I've yet to taste its equal.
