Service is not too good. Avoid shrimp dishes - every time I've ordered one, most of the shrimp have not been thoroughly cleaned, and intestine has been left on.

The worst restaurant ever! The staffs are really rude, their services are really really bad! don't want to go back anymore!

To be honest with you This food was REALLY bad. Tasted old, smelled funny and the atmosphere and staff were absolutely mindblowingly rude and disgusting

If you have not been to this restaurant but your friends think it is good, do NOT waste your time and money trying! Wait staff is very rude. Food is not good. The space is too small. The bottomline is, a GOOD restaurant means good service, good food and good dining space. The Great China does not have any of those qualities!

It's small and often crowded but the best chinese food in town.

Bad, bad, bad service! Wait staff can't speak good English and ill-manner. The boss is very ill-manner too! That must be the policy of the restaurant. The space is tiny like a rat-hole. There are many better restaurants elsewhere. Do not waste your time and money!!!!!! Enjoy your meals somewhere else.

I had a great time with friends at lunch some weeks ago. The food was good, and the service was reasonably friendly. I especially enjoyed the Peking duck.

This is a Chinese restaurants I would take my out-of-town visitors, and is one of my favorites. The food here sets it apart from the ordinary Chinese menus at other Chinese restaurants in the Bay Area. The Peking duck is great, very lean meat, and very tasty, but needs to be ordered in advance. The crab on bun (not sure of the name of the dish) is great although a little bland. Try the double skin dish.. that's a must have & very tasty. No reservations are accepted except for groups of 7 or more. Best to reserve a table for 7-10 people to be able to order a variety of delicious dishes. If no reservation, then better show up at exactly 6:00 pm or end up waiting for a table. Service quality is not so good, but can be tolerated since the food is good.

We went here expecting great things after reading the reviews, and were horribly disappointed. The food was lukewarm, tasteless and barely palatable. In fact it made us queasy and left us wondering about the quality of the ingredients (especially the beef in the beef and broccoli, which was this weird gelatinous, flavorless texture). We would not recmmend - in fact we would advise people to go elsewhere if they are looking for good Chinese food.
