This place as the best value for an enormous and yummy salad. Just make sure you order poppy seed dressing (don't be fooled by the other options).
It's not upscale in any way, but still an awesome place to eat. Plus you can sit at the window seats and watch people walking down Telegraph Ave as you eat.
The food is worth the $6 (if you get a combo). I usually get a 1/2 sandwich and salad. The wheat bread is the best I've ever tasted and I love their poppy seed dressing! The line can be a bit long during peak hours, but I think it's definitely worth the wait.
A friend recommeded this place for lunch ,, You really get you moneys worth . The food is great and fresh. We preordered by phone and oucked it up . Otherwise you have to wait in long lines.. But it's worth it ..
Great food - Sandwiches like no others on homebaked bread, incredible salads piled high with all the fixin's, and neat people to watch. Sit in the front window on a weekend and the sights will not be forgotten.
