Mijori Japanese Restaurant, Oakland

This is the best of the best. The sushi rice is perfectly made and the rolls aren't too thick with rice, you can taste every ingredient. I live in SF but always frequent Mijori's when I get a sushi craving, which is every other week. I've yet to find a sushi restaurant in SF that's comparable. Mijori is a must try!!!

As an avid sushi diner, I have had my fair share of sushi. Mijori has refined the art of sushi and has not neglected the essential taste that draws millions. Mijori has wonderful service, and a great interior which is intimate yet friendly. The menu is diverse and covers a wide range of japanese cuisine. I truly recommend their sashimi plates. With fresh fish everyday, their sashimi is unforgetable. This is the place for the Best Bay Area Sushi.

I have been to a number of local sushi bars and restaurants, but Mijori is the best I have had by far. The service is excellent and the staff is friendly and knowledgable. It's a must have; for new sushi eaters as well as the pro's.

I live in Jack London and typically go to Ginza and Mr. Sushi because I've been in a rut and they are both decent. Mijori however is now my favorite and just thinking of their sushi makes my mouth water. We went on a Thursday night last week, and the place was filled, but it was only about a 5 minute wait toget a place at the bar. The sushi was very fresh and none of it smelled gamey, was slimy, of the wrong temperature, or otherwise problematic. In fact it was very well prepared, and the portion sizes were generous. The pricing seemed on par with other places, neither a bargain, nor expensive. We did not branch out in to any specials, but I plan to next time. Super kudo's to these guys for great sushi!

Mijori has a good selection of fresh fish. I love the sashimi dinner, and the staff is very friendly! I definitely regularly visit Jimmy and Richard. I trust them with my sushi!

the fish is always fresh but the portions and service are often on the short side.
