Roba's Pizza Cafe, Emeryville

Absolutely the best thin crust pizza I ve ever had, and in the top three of any type I ve had since I left NYC decades ago. The crust is crisp on the bottom, but perfect on top, so the absolutely fresh ingredients and cheese blend right into the delicious, steamy softness with every bite. That takes a really hot oven, very careful attention and a chef who really loves to make good food!. The married owners are lovely, the pizza is incredible and the price just what the recession ordered! The first time I was there I complimented the owner and a woman at the bar said she s been telling him the same thing for fifteen years. I just hope next time I m in Emeryville I can get myself to try their other dishes (which everyone there told me were on the same par) because that pizza keeps calling my name. Do it!

The food is superb, generous portions, low prices. The Emery Pie pizza is delicious. The atmosphere inside is nothing special but you can eat outside with a view of the bay in good weather. The owners are very friendly and will accommodate any special request.

I'm a poor college girl and I gotta say when I went here I was so stoked I about fell over. I go about once every two weeks if not more often and I love everything I've tried..I think everyone should try the Chicken Penne. It has creamy tomato sauce, spinich, and everything nice! Omg I'm salivating at the thought of it. The owners are so nice and give wonderful service, not to mention it is cheap, large portions with all the flavor of a home cooked meal. The only thing to look out for is that they hold odd hours...they open when they like and close whenever the like. But if you can get here do it's fantastic!

I remember meeting Abraham (owner)for the first time back in 95-96 for VNA and Alysis Technologies. A gentleman and GREAT cook! I left the Watergate Towers in 2000 and happened to come back to work for an environmental firm called Scientific Certifiation Systems in 2007. I walked down the corner and he's still cooking away! The sandwiches/salad and pizza are the BOMB! I encourage all to use his catering services as well.

The owners are nice and they provide great service. They have awesome garlic cheese bread and the most tastiest pizza.
