Yoshi's Japanese Restaurant, Oakland

This restaurant is GOLDEN!! I really enjoy the atmosphere here when I come for dinner! The staff are always very nice and the food is even better!! Way to go for having such an amazing establishment!!

I would like to say that the Jack Bruce show on Saturday Feb. 5th was horrible. My date and I were very disappointed. It was more like a jam session or a garage band practicing. I think Santana has lowered his standards in music. He should not have gotten involved with that scene,it made him look BAD! I have seen better shows in local clubs and bars. I hope not for a repeat of this. Yoshi's is a great place and I have seen many great shows. I will continue to attend shows at Yoshi's. Thank you for bringing all the great talent.

For a concert excellent for the food and service I would give it a needs improvement. Not bad but for a 5 star needs improvement.

Eating here is an art form, so combined with great jazz musicians who grace their stage from time to time, this is a must visit if you are an East Bay insider.

Great music and good food, although eating can be pricey. If you are looking for a great night on the town and like music and sushi, then you have found your place. However, if you just have a craving for Japanese food your wallet would be better off someplace else.

Love it! Wish they had more venues like this where you can go hear your favorite jazz artist in such an intimate setting. Excellent location. I love the concept of the on site restaurant, if it was food I liked. lol A few downfalls are that they kind of crowd the seats together and they are not to comfortable. The seats are general admission and to get a reserved seat you have to pay and still not know exactly where you'll be sitting. I think if they add reserved seating as you purchase your tickets, this place would always be a sell out every time. Over all I enjoyed my experience here and will definetly go back.

The location is just right for east-bay folks. The sushi and sashimi’s were very good and very well presented. After enjoying our dinner, a musical group from Africa performed that night and we experienced the most transcending moments. We had a great time.
