Each day the bakers at Arizmenda prepare a single pizza selection. Similar to the pizza served at their sister store, The Cheeseboard (in Berkeley), the pizza here is thin-crust with simple but tasty ingredients. There's no tomato sauce, just fresh toppings and quality cheese--and often brushed lightly with lemon olive oil. They also have a nice selection of breads, scones, muffins, and rolls. A favorite of mine is the cherry cornmeal scone.
What Arizmendi lacks in pizza variety it makes up for in taste - there is only one pizza selection per day, but I have never been disappointed. From simple tomato-and cheese to the unexpected (potato pizza!), it is all 100% delicious. The breads and other baked goods are top-nitch as well.
