Since 1975, BayWolf has been Oakland's favorite neighborhood restaurant, consistently delivering vibrant, world-class food in a Victorian home made modern with its popular terrace and eclectic dining rooms on Piedmont Avenue. BayWolf has several options for those looking to celebrate or meet with large groups of friends or business associates. The dinner menu changes monthly, always featuring the abundant locally-grown seasonal produce of Northern California and utilizing the culinary traditions of the Mediterranean. Additionally, the menu always showcases duck, raised especially for us by Liberty Ranch in Sonoma County. BayWolf remains a home away from home for all lovers of food, art, wine, friends and most of all family, which is who we consider everyone dining with us to be.
The food was excellent. at first i received my duck breast and thought the perportion was small but i was quickly compensated and that made my dinner very pleasant overall the food was excuted very well....
The Bay Wolf is a very good restaurant. However, anyone who thinks it is off of Durant in Berkeley will be disappointed. The restaurant is on Piedmont Avenue in Oakland, nowhere close to Durant. Go to the website to check location.
Delicious, and very fresh culinary experience. These guys try to be the cut above the rest by simply offering a fairly wonderful meal. The steaks are to die for, and the desserts are, well... delicious. If you are not happy with something, they will bend over backwards to make it right. I've been here at least 3 times and loved it each time.
We've been there twice in 2006, and both times the food was excellent and the service was attentive and professional. We sat both inside and outside and both were comfortabl and quiet enough to have a conversation without yelling. The prices are, all things considered, quite reasonable. Well worth a visit.
I went here for an anniversary and took the opportunity to teach my man about wine- good move -there are some good ones here... And good dishes to pair them with - cozy walls, some were drawn upon as part of the art.
