Baldies is the best Cafe in Fremont bar none. I go there almost every day for breakfast. The food is GREAT!!! and plenty of it but what makes this place so good is the staff. They are so friendly and nice. Also the prices are reasonable.
Baldies Cafe is one of the most inexpensive Little hole n the wall as some would say.The staff is very friendly, and are on top of their game......Forgot the food is excellent!!!!!!! Comfort food at its best!
My husband and I eat at Baldie's about twice a month for several years now and we always have a good experience, both of the service and the food. The food offered is Greek, American, and some Italian. The portions are large, the food is tasty, and the prices are reasonable. I particularly enjoy the salad with the Greek dressing.
Baldie's is well-patronized, especially on weekends. Even when there is a waiting list, we have never waited over fifteen minutes to be seated. It is worth the wait.
Ssshh!! This place is getting too popular! Let's keep it Union City's secret. Have been going there since they started in the old hot dog place. It just keeps getting better. The family that owns this works well under pressure. They can have tons of people waiting for tables yet they always have time to say hello and chat. Seen the kids grow up. They treat you like family or better yet good friends. One of the best things to happen to Union City!!
Baldie's is a terrific restaurant. We've been going for 20 years. Greek food is the base but everything is good. Breakfast is served all day. Great eggs benedict on the weekends. Chicken Picatta and Greek Chicken are the best.
What can I say? This place is the best at what they do - which is just plain good comfort food served up quickly and with a smile. Breakfast is awesome. Service is lightning-fast - I always joke that they have your food on the table before you even order it! I don't know how they do it, especially when you go to other places and it takes them half an hour to get your breakfast out. Lunch and dinner entrees are as good as breakfast. Large portions. I had the prime rib once and it was just as good as anything you would get at a much pricier, swankier restaurant (and about half the price, too!). Minestrone soup is homemade and just awesome - chockfull of large chunks of vegetables! They must be doing something right, because it seems they've had pretty much the same staff for years (and I've been going there since 1995) - unusual in the high-turnover restaurant business. Family-owned, which is also a plus. I read Bazerkly's review and realized that he must have been confusing Baldie's with some other place. Rude? Too spicy? Huh?????
