Koi Sushi Boat, Union City

Great place to have a sushi feels like home. I love this place even though it reminds me of home alot! Good food and Good service. Thumbs up!

Ok, drove from Hayward to try out this place. My wife and I really enjoy the sushi boat type places because of the selection and chance to try different rolls without having to buy the whole thing. SURPRISE! No sushi boat for weekday dinner! Ok, so we're here, lets try it. The rolls were fresh and good. Cut to small pieces at our request with no objection. The nigiri, however, was meager for the price and we noticed that there was a difference between how the two chefs prepaired the nigiri. Service was ok, presentation was great, but cost a little high. We were really disappointed to find that even though the restaurant name inplies that they have sushi boats, its not accurate. Overall an ok place and not worth driving far to experiance.

i have been several times and it has always been really great. i don't know too much about sushi so the fact that they have the area where the sushi is literally on a boat and you can choose which you like really helps a lot! almost everything is good and fresh and it is pretty much the only place i go for sushi.

I seriously went to Koi sushi boat for about a month and a half straight, every single day. We always ordered the 4 item bento which was really worth it. They have the best salad because of their homemade dressing. The bento comes with miso soup, salad, tempura, california rolls, and whatever item you chose. It has a lot of variety and their rolls are always on point. Esp. the crunch/tempura roll. Great service and great environment. I would recommend going here. A+

Good sushi, reasonable price too. This is a good place to have a get-together with friends.

I really their sushi with their special sauce. It is the best. The staff was friendly, they chatted with my young son which I like. The wait for a table was little too long and the place was not even full. I would certainly go here again.

The only reason I keep coming here is that it's conveniently close to my folks' house. Their sushi is okay. I've tried basically all of them, and it's about just a bit less-than-boastful in terms of quality -- nothing bad, but nothing spectacular. I most recently just tried the grilled saba dinner. And, that was actually pretty good. I've never actually ordered a dinner / meal / bento box there before that. When should you come to Koi Sushi Boat? Well, if you are visiting from out of town and parents are close, that goes without saying. But it may just be worthwile to pop in and fill your sushi craving before or after a movie at the cinema nearby. That is, if you can find some parking.

We contiune to go back to Koi Sushi, as the service is exellent and the sushi is fresh.
