The place is very nice, the food is another story. If I were to rate the food from a 1 to 10, I would give it a 4 to 5 rating. The staff is always nice and the place is very clean, with quite a few flat screens televisions.

I cannot stand ordering a simple cheese burger, and having the bun be three times bigger than the stuff inside it - and the bun was stale. Ordered a side of onion rings that were so greasy I could not eat much. Lemonade wasn't even decent. Nice decor, but that does not make up for the disappointing food. We won't go back, sorry Willy.

We are new to the bay area and were very impressed with the food and cool atmosphere at McCoveys. The service was also excellent!

A mini cooperstown

If you're a bay area sports fan you have to check the restaurant out. Don't wait for a table if there is a line, the food isn't worth it. Simply grab a beer and walk around and enjoy the memorabilia. Pro's= atmosphere and Nacho's. Grab a seat at the bar area and share some Nacho's. You can't go wrong. Con's= $6.00 beer? Come on now I hate to pay $36.00 plus tip to get a buzz.

Good, not Great

McCovey's plays to its theme of a sports bar extraordinaire. It has all the memorabilia and giant TVs. But when it comes down to the food, it is okay. Nothing that is bad or horrible, yet nothing that would make me choose McCovey's because I just have to eat their ... The service has been okay to slow each time I have been in there whether it was lunch or dinner.

Worst food ever eaten.....

This was the worst food I have ever eaten. It took us 2 hours and 20 minutes to get our food. The staff and management were very disorganized. Would never go back or recommend, well maybe to someone I didn't like...

This is a great restaurant. Great atmosphere, be sure to try the Ribs, they are lean, meaty and delicious. Salads and burgers are first rate. You will not be disappointed.
