This is not East Coast pizza! Not even close. Don't listen to those stupid commercials about this pizza. This is just poor. I grew up in New York and this stuff is horrible. I can tell you that the worst place in New York City is better than Amici's. I don't know what kind of sauce they put on but they put too much on. They should be embarrassed to call this Pizza. The best Pizza I have had in the Bay area is at the Cheese Board in Berkeley.
Be forewarned: This place is pricey, service brick oven pizza (which means it's slightly burnt on the bottom) and this is thin pizza not thick. That being said it's not bad...and heads and shoulders above places like Pizza Hut or Domino's (which are not in the same class). Delivery is slow (my food came cold) and comes with an additional fee so eat there!
if you like microwaved pasta, and frozen pizza please go here. also the prices are ridiculously high and service is not that great.also i thought that the new york pizza was big but its actually small and burnt.
I don't care for Ralph Barbieri, but I love this pizza!! True New York style, thin with just the right amount of toppings!!!! Order one size larger than you normally order. The pizzas here are not as large as in other places.
If you want a thin crust pizza, this is a great place to go. Yes, pretty pricey but you get what you pay for. Good neighborhood place. The salad is ok but would be better if the greens were tossed with the dressing. As it was, sometimes my salad comes over dressed, other times I have to ask for more dressing. But come here for the pizza but stay for the cheesecake. Almost always a hit. Very creamy, again New York-style. Light and bright ambiance with windows along the entire storefront. Seats are a bit uncomfortable, to discourage lingering perhaps? Outdoor seating available but in Dublin, its either too hot or too windy. Parking is also a problem in the strip mall. Try their China Basin location in San Francisco, right across from the Giant's ballpark.
