ok...so yesterday 1/20/09 i went here with my mother. i had taken her to an early appointment and it's around 10:30 a.m. i hadn't eaten breakfast and was craving for chinese food. i grew up eating here...the food is actually 5 stars! so the open sign was up and i was thrilled i didn't have to wait. eager going inside the host came in and said we just opened the door! so i was a little confused and said ok well are you then not open for business? he then say's no we just opened door...n i was like ok well how long then? another guy from bak shouts out: another 20 min. i said ok that's fine! then the host asked are you eating here? and i was like well that was the plann...so iono can we eat here? so then he seats us...which i remember walking in there all bubbly and had said a table for 2 please. so i'm looking at the menu and noticed lunch special served at 11:20 so wondeing why they would say open on their door. then when the guy had served us water i asked is there any hot tea? and the host say's no...we just opened door it's not cook yet! so i was pissy by this time and told the host if you're not ready for business then why do you have the open sign up...and just tell me no it'll be ready in 10 minutes or what not instead of giving too much info like we just opened the door! so i told him i've been coming here since i was a little girl. so service really sucks! i left had a bad vibe since i walked through the door. the food is great, probably will order only togo when the owner is present. he's actually really nice!
