Pizzeria Tra Vigne

Description

Pizzeria Tra Vigne is the perfect place to take family and friends. It is big, cheerful and noisy. The sights, smells and sounds create a warm and homey atmosphere. Italian treats like pastas, desserts, and of course, pizza, are offered. Let the kids come along and pick their favorites. Organic pizza is a special feature. The garlic rolls seem to be in great demand. The prices are reasonable and therefore the place is generally buzzing. Be prepared to wait for a table.

Since moving here a month ago I was told to try this pathetic excuse of a restaurant, I even gave it a second chance! The service is terrible and lacks any sort of training or personality. Both times it took over an hour to receive our meals, but the worst is the food. I have never put anything so disgusting in my mouth. Not just that the flavors are off, but the sheer amount of salt in every dish will burn your mouth and make you want to spit it out, if you don't gag on it first. The icing on the cake is how incredibly expensive it is, please save your money and try some of the other wonderful restaurants here in St. Helena....please.

I read the reviews here and insisted my husband take me to this poor excuse for a restaurant. Very disappointed. The Tre-colori salad was so bitter and the dressing had no flavor at all. The Vespa pizza had no sauce and also lacked flavor, seriously. The soft serve was flavorless as well. Very weird experience. Average server not really interested. I will never go to this place again nor will I recommend it to anyone! Stay away. Plus the prices are higher than the online menu.

Great pizza, cool atmosphere. It's not the *best* pizza I've had but I'd give it a solid 8.5 out of 10. I'd definitely go again which if you know me says a lot. Tra Vigne also has a great outdoor seating area and the kicker is they offer soft serve ice cream as dessert. Mmmmm...pizza and soft serve. Enjoy!

Best Pizza on the West Coast!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/16/07
I am from New York, and I travel all over the world. The pizza I had at Pizzeria Tra Vigne was the best pizza I have had anywhere other than here in New York. The service was fun and friendly and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Everyone who visits the Napa Valley must eat at Pizzeria Tra Vigne!

Pizzeria Tra Vigne Rocks
By Brianna, 1/25/07
Anyone that says otherwise is an idiot. This place is very enjoyable. I went in expecting to pay a fortune just like everywhere else in the valley and I didnt. We had great service and amazing food. They got a new chef and general manager back in october of 2005 that have done amazing things for this restaurant. I suggest it to anyone.

Better when it was Tomatina's
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/19/06
Back in the late 1990's this pizza joint was owned by a different owner and was known and Tomatina's. The food was fabulous, affordable, and casual. We ordered at the counter and food was brought to us. Now, under new ownership, some of my favorite dishes are now gone, we have waiters at our tables and we pay 30% or more for the same dish. I split garlic bread, chopped salad and had my own piadini, and my part of the check was $18. Expect to spend $15 or more person at your visit! Good food, overpriced, and just not the same.
