Located in the city of Martinez, our restaurant offers contemporary Italian cuisine in a charming atmosphere. We are a family friendly restaurant established on April 10th,1996. We have been called "The Best Kept Secret in Martinez", but we prefer not to be a secret and want everyone to know about us. We make our own pastas and bake our bread fresh everyday. We also have a variety of homemade desserts, like our famous Tiramisu, Spumoni and Creme Brulee. It's like eating at your Nonna's house. We love to make you happy! So please, MANGIA MANGIA!!!! Hope to see you soon!
We had been patrons since the restaurant opened in 1996. The calamari was always fresh. The pollo al mattone was superb, as long as they held the mustard sauce. When they changed from pasta with the dish as a side to mashed potatoes(?), they were always willing to switch to pasta with a choice of sauce. But, the service went down over the years. Mistake after mistake with the order. Brought the appetizers and then forgot us. (And, still had to pay for the appetizer - we had an event to attend and could not wait any longer for the order), Took an order for 2 salads, 2 soups, 1 appetizer and two entrees. Brought 1 salad, no soup. Forgot the soup on an order, but still billed for it, despite our comment to the server. These are only a few of the errors. Thus, the restaurant sees us no more. Miss the pollo al mattone - hold the mustard. But, there are a lot of wonderful Italian restaurants out there. Try Stella Alpina in Rome.
This place is consistently excellent. The food is great and the service good. Last visit three of us all had specials, two of us had the duck ravioli and the other the calamari steak piccata. We shared the tiramisu for dessert and it is one of the best any of us have had.
Too pricy for so so food. Although service is good, they provided items we didn't order and was obligated to pay. My sister had picked this place to celebrate her birthday, looking at the price one would think food must be good, not so much. We brought our own cake and they kindly cut it and served it but they didn't cut it to serve 13 people they cut it to serve 6 and so they had to provide 7 more at our expense. I would have have appreciated it if they asked first. Oh, my order came late, i ordered a vegetable panini, know why it was late the bread was burned and they served it, i didn't eat the bread the other half was not burned, I took it home, can't it anymore after that disappointment.
We love this restaurant! The food is always perfect, the bread is to die for and the service is always perfect. We just had our rehearsal dinner here, it was elegant, fun and the wine glasses were never empty! I am so glad we have this place!
I went here yesterday with my boyfriend and its an ok place I read the other reviews and its a little over priced for their food true you do get a helpful serving but its still a pretty pricey bill. I wish they served warm garlic bread but its cold and so is the sauce you dip the cold bread into. The pasta was good but I still think Olive Garden is a better price. There service is pretty good though I give them credit for that!
