Uncle Yu is dedicated to the distinctive styles of traditional Chinese cuisine, while creating innovative contemporary menus to capture the imagination and the palates of the most discriminating diners. Dishes range from the traditional "hot and sour soup and Mongolian beef" to contemporary specials such as "smoked salmon on a bed of cucumber noodle, baby spinach, and sautA(C)ed with a shitake mushroom soy vinaigrette".

Have been here once for lunch and once for dinner. The dishes are unusually good and offer an excellent value. Cannot decide which is better, the service or the ambiance; both are polite, attentive and welcoming. The parking on the upper lot was full for lunch today but the lower parking was half vacant. The English moniker facilitates everyday American use but does not sound related to its Chinese name.

Uncle Yu's is, by far, my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. The food is absolutely delicious, no matter what you order. The environment is friendly and private; the staff are extrememly polite and cater to every need. Overall, I LOVE Uncle Yu's.
