Bistro Don Giovanni offers a warm and inviting experience with all the personality of a Mediterranean hideaway. Chef Donna Scala's rustic fare incorporates local fruits, vegetables, meat and fowl into traditional, fresh Italian dishes with her signature, creative flair. Freshly baked breads, local olive oil, beautiful salads, tasty appetizers and homemade pastas are inspired by the bounty of Napa Valley. Main courses offer an array of regionally sourced and highest quality creations of chicken, steaks, burgers and seafood. My wife and I have visited Napa every two or three years for the last 20 years. We always eat at least one meal at Don Giovanni. We have never been disappointed. The food is not fancy nor is the menu extensive. The really good thing is that the ingredients are high quality and dishes are prepared properly. It can sometimes get a little crowded inside but we have always felt comfortable. The prices are reasonable and I always find something on the wine list that I like. Other restaurants come and go. Don Giovanni is a constant that always enhances our Napa visits.

Very disappointed!! limited food selection, ambiance was at a very fast pace we felt rushed. We got an extra bonus Charlie, the house cat was seated next to us, lucky to get two stars! Never again! Way way over rated and over priced Never again!!!

My office team enjoyed a wonderful lunch here last week. We sat on the patio and enjoyed fantastic weather. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Particularly noteworthy was the beet salad, the peach salad, the risotto with seafood and the grilled chicken. Oh, and can't forget the Blondie Mary – the most delicious bloody mary every made. We are definitely going back for our next celebration.

It was our anniversary and we ask a wine consultant for a suggestion for a romantic restaurant in the valley. He suggested Don Giovanni, it was a disappointment for us, the restaurant was too noisy and the ambiance was fast pace. The food selection or menu were very limited. The dessert I really like. Our waitstaff was in a rush to take our order. Maybe I'll go to Don Giovanni during lunch for a pizza and pasta only.

Eh! My hubby and I went there for our anniversary and were not terribly impressed. The food was not as good as we expected (pretty average really), and we felt that the waitstaff was kind of snotty! God forbid you don't order an expensive bottle of wine!! The atmosphere outside was nice though. I would probably go back but not for a spcial occasion!

Beautiful setting, great food, good service

The service here is hit and miss, but the food is almost always a perfect hit. We love the risottos & pizzas and the wine list is, of course, great. It's the great place to relax after a night of hitting the wineries in Napa or taking a romantic dinner with a great bottle of wine.

Very good authentic Italian

Beautiful restaurant (deceptive from highway 29). Very nice grounds. Eat outside for lunch. Good apps and authentic pasta dishes, cooked al dente. We had the tagliatelle with sausage and the duck penne. Friendly service. Perfect way to kick off a good day of wine tasting.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. Great location just north of Napa. It is definately one of the best Italian spots in the area. The dining room is wide open, and there is an abundance of patio seating. The service is also top notch.
